The little and lovely Vela Velo Hotel lies surrounded by nature of Gargano at the edge of the centre of the city of Vieste, only 600m away. Close to S. Lorenzo beach, the Vela Velo Club was born in 1985 as a sport and ecological association with windsurfing school and cycle touring events. Previously known as the Soldano family private villa, it has now been completely restored.

It’s extensive 17 rooms are provided with bathroom, refrigerator, satellite TV and some of the rooms are also provided with air conditioning. The family management creates an informal and serene ambience welcomed by both sporty people and tourists of any age.

Despite it’s 2 stars, the Vela Velo Hotel offers to its guests services of a higher standard. For the demanding guest, the hotel has air-conditioned rooms, the buffet breakfast offers a light choice for diet (yogurt and cereals), or a more hearty breakfast for those who are going to face an active day (cheese and various hams and salamis). All breakfasts come with fresh milk and espresso coffee.

A small gym for those who want to keep in shape even during holidays is at the hotel’s guests disposal with freestanding cycle, rowing machine, bench and weights. Mountain bikes are available for free for those who want to make excursions in the Gargano national park or simply to get to the city centre while being free from the stress of driving and looking for a parking place.

1 umbrella, 1 sun bed and 1 chair for room (extra only in high season period) are provided. And for those guests who come to Vela Velo to enjoy the surf, special attention is given to the needs of windsurfers.

Vela Velo provides surf boards and free sail cleaning as well as a hiring service for single and double seating canoes. Vela Velo recommends one of the most renowned windsurf and catamaran schools in Europe, managed by the Mistral Club in the nearby Punta Lunga bay. A break point at our beach which offers salads, Italian bruschetta, local pizza and a variety of sandwiches and cold dishes. Windsurfing class for both experts and beginners are provided for those guests with children. A small children's corner is available with swings and little houses allowing parents and children relaxation and enjoyment. For dinners, in the neighborhood we have agreement with excellent restaurants. Secure parking.
